Administration
MesoSculpt C71® is designed for adults aged 21 and over. Between 4-8 treatments are recommended, at a 7-10 day interval. Prior to administration, remove any makeup if applied, and clean the skin three times with a 0.05% chlorhexidine solution beforehand. The application of local anaesthetic cream is permitted if desired.
Recommended needle size: 32G (0.23 x 6/8/13mm). The needle’s length should be determined based on the degree of localised subcutaneous fat deposits.
The needle should be inserted at a 90° angle to the skin’s surface, at a depth of 6-13mm and spacing of 0.8-1cm between injection sites. Each injection should deposit between 0.05 to 0.1ml of product, although this volume may be increased to 0.15ml if deemed necessary based on clinical evaluation. Multiple hypodermis injections are recommended for optimal results.
The proper administration of MesoSculpt C71® involves its administration into the subcutaneous adipose tissue, ensuring care is taken to avoid the mid-dermal layer, for an accurate and effective treatment.
One 1ml syringe is intended to treat two areas of the face; a single syringe can also treat two areas of the neck.
Contraindications and side effects
Contraindications include individuals who have a history of severe allergies or anaphylaxis, those who have experienced previous hypersensitivity to any of MesoSculpt C71®’s active ingredients, including hyaluronic acid, and those with bleeding disorders. Product administration should not be performed in areas other than fat tissue layers.
Delay treatment in areas where there is an active inflammatory response or skin eruptions until these have resolved. Before administration, review the client’s medical history to identify indications and contraindications – including allergies and tissue sensitivity.
High doses of Vitamin A or E supplements, aspirin, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications should be avoided before treatment, as these can increase bleeding or bruising at the administration site(s). Sites should also not be exposed to severe cooling, indoor tanning, or sauna/steam baths shortly before treatment.
After treatment with MesoSculpt C71®, reactions may occur and continue for 1-3 days. These include redness, swelling, itching, tenderness, and change in skin colour at the injection site(s). Other known potential adverse effects reported during post-market surveillance include short-term erythema, edema, pruritus, or moderate soreness in the injection site(s) for 1 to 3 days.
Post-treatment
Following treatment, it is recommended to avoid makeup for at least 24 hours. Protect treatment sites from exposure to wind and frost. During the course of treatment, it is important to refrain from using indoor tanning beds, saunas, and steam baths. Lastly, strenuous physical activity or sports should be avoided for at least 48 hours post-treatment, as these may cause temporary redness, swelling, or itching at the treated site(s). Store away from sunlight at 2-25°C. Device must be used prior to the printed expiration date. Do not freeze, reuse, or re-sterilise. Keep out of reach of children.
