Administration
Meso-Wharton P199® is designed for adults aged 21 and over. It’s particularly suited to those over the age of 40-45. A single 1.5ml syringe can treat the face, neck and chest regions. Prior to administration, remove any makeup if applied, and clean the skin three times with a 0.05% chlorhexidine solution beforehand. The application of local anaesthetic cream is permitted if desired.
Frequency of treatment: 6-8 treatments at 7-14 day intervals for those under 50 years of age; 8 treatments at 7-14 day intervals for those over 50 years of age.
Recommended needle size: 32g x 4mm. Please note: use of a needle gauge larger than 30g (for example, 29g) can result in incorrect product distribution.
A micro-papular technique can be utilised for the periorbital region. This requires the needle bevel to be oriented upwards for better control over each injection, ensuring the papule diameter does not exceed 1mm. For multiple intradermal injections, when treating the skin across the face, the needle should be inserted at a 45° angle, 2-4mm deep, and spaced 0.8-1cm apart. For the neck skin, the needle should be introduced at a 30° angle, 1-2mm deep, and the orientation of the bevel is not critical.
Contraindications and side effects
Meso-Wharton P199® has an intense regenerative effect, restoring blood supply to the skin tissue, which results in a decrease of the effects brought on by anti-wrinkle injections. Therefore, it is recommended 14 days prior to or 14 days after administration of anti-wrinkle injections. Additionally, hyaluronic acid-based fillers may be administered in a 14-day interval before or after the administration of Meso-Wharton P199® treatment. If administered after, take care to avoid site(s) of HA.
Contraindications include individuals who have a history of severe allergies or anaphylaxis, those who have experienced previous hypersensitivity to any of Meso-Wharton P199®’s active ingredients, including hyaluronic acid, and those with bleeding disorders. Product administration should not be performed in areas other than fat tissue layers.
Delay treatment in areas where there is an active inflammatory response or skin eruptions until these have resolved. Before administration, review the client’s medical history to identify indications and contraindications – including allergies and tissue sensitivity.
High doses of Vitamin A or E supplements, aspirin, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications should be avoided before treatment, as these can increase bleeding or bruising at the administration site(s). Sites should also not be exposed to severe cooling, indoor tanning, or sauna/steam baths shortly before treatment.
After treatment with Meso-Wharton P199®, reactions may occur and continue for 1-3 days. These include redness, swelling, itching, tenderness, and change in skin colour at the injection site(s). Other known potential adverse effects reported during post-market surveillance include short-term erythema, edema, pruritus, or moderate soreness in the injection site(s) for 1 to 3 days.
Post-treatment
Following treatment, it is recommended to avoid makeup for at least 24 hours. Protect treatment sites from exposure to wind and frost. During the course of treatment, it is important to refrain from using indoor tanning beds, saunas, and steam baths. Lastly, strenuous physical activity or sports should be avoided for at least 48 hours post-treatment, as these may cause temporary redness, swelling, or itching at the treated site(s). Store away from sunlight at 2-25°C. Device must be used prior to the printed expiration date. Do not freeze, reuse, or re-sterilise. Keep out of reach of children.
